JEHIEL PRESTON, 8th child of Jehiel and Thankful (Sedgwick) Preston, was born Mar. 4, 1755, at Wallingford, Conn.? He married Sept. 9, 1779, Molly Royce (Reuben, Joseph, Joseph, Nehemial, Robert Royce). She was born in 1759 and died June 15, 1833, aged 74, (Meriden, Conn. Cemetery.) Children:

3. Polly Preston, b. 1787.

6. Ira Preston, b. 1796;
m. Clara Hough (old Bible).

8. Nancy Preston, b. 1800.

BETSEY PRESTON, oldest child of Jehiel and Molly (Royce) Preston, was born Feb. 2, 1781, in Wallingford, Conn., and died May 2, 1831, in Wallingford, aged 50. She married in Wallingford, Feb. 8, 1797, Samuel Way (John, John, Thomas, George, Way). Their children were:

ISAAC WAY, 11th. child of Samuel and Betsey (Preston) Way, was born Aug. 11, 1816, and died Mar. 23, 1893. He removed to La.Porte County, Ind., in 1830, probably with his parents. He married in 1841, Rosanna Weilman, born Sep. 19, 1823, daughter of Jobn and Patience (Haskell) Wellman. She died June 25, 1876. Their children were:

1. Ira Way, b. Nov. 28, 1842, d. Jan. 10, 1887.
He m. but had no children. He was an officer in the Civil War.
2. Son. b. April 17, 1844, d. June 4, 1844.
3. Ora Way, b. Apr. 17, 1851, d. Aug. 12, 1852.
