CALEB PRESTON (twin of Samuel), son of Sgt. Jehiel and Thankful (Sedgwick) Preston, was born April 24, 1746 (WV) at Wallingford, Conn., and died Feb. 27, 1813, at Camden, N. Y., aged 67. He married at Wallingford June 15, 1765, Amy Lewis, born Jan. 31, l745-6 (WV), at Wallingford, daughter of Caleb and Eunice (Welton) Lewis. She died June 1, 1817, at Camden, N. Y., aged 73. Their children were:

1. Amy Preston, b. June 5, 1767, (WV);
married June 7, 1792, Salathiel Chapman,
of Verona, Conn., Springfield, Mass, and Simsbury, Conn.
2. Lurinda Preston, b. Jan. 15, 1769. (WV)
3. Eunice Welton Preston, b. June 18, 1771. (WV)
4. Caleb Preston, b. Sep. 10, 1772. (164,4)
5. Eliasaph Preston b. July 29, 1775, (WV), d. Feb. 13, 1859, ae. 83;
married Sep. 23, 1801, Hannah Tuttle.
6. Abner Preston, b. 1781; d. Nov. 24, 1833, at Camden, N.Y., ae 52;
m. Hannah ____

CALEB PRESTON, 4th. child of Caleb and Amy (Lewis) Preston, was born Sep. 10, 1772, and died May 28, 1867, aged 96, at Camden, N Y. He married_______ who died April 18, 1851, aged 76, at Camden. Their children were:

1. Amanda Preston, b. Sep. 29, 1796; died Sep. 1865;
married Abram Eliphalet Johnson.
2. Merrit Preston, b. Jan. 21, 1797.
3. Eliasaph Preston, 2d. b. Mar. 29, 1798; res. Pompey, N.Y.
4. Phebe Preston, b. July 4, 1799.
5. Ruth Preston, b. Apr. 13, 1802;
m. Samuel Leffingwell, of Wisconsin.
6. Lucius Preston, b. Oct. 14, 1805; res. Wisconsin.
7. Sarah Preston, b. Apr. 11, 1810;
m. James Whaley, of Michigan.
8. Clarissa Preston, b. Dec. 30, 1813; died Dec. 28, 1856;
married David Coe.
