JUDGE SIDNEY PRESTON [given name "Judge"], 7th. and youngest child of Ira and Deborah (Goff) Preston, was born Jan. 16, 1831, in Shelby Twp., Macomb Co., Mich., and died Jan 20, 1894. He married Nov. 1, 1853, Caroline A. Bartlett, born Dec. 7, 1834, in Gates, Monroe Co., N. Y., and died Feb. 32, 1920, in Michigan. They had five children:

LYND B. PRESTON, son of Judge S. and Caroline A. (Bartlett) Preston, was born Nov. 18, 1855, and died Feb. 36, 1920. He married Sep. 11, 1889, Retta Manning of Fenton, Mich., who was born July 36, 1866. Mr. Preston lived at Lansing, Mich., and was a Salesman of Hardware and Upholstery Supplies. They had one daughter:

NINA B. PRESTON, only daughter of Lynd B. and Retta (Manning) Preston, was born July 20, 1890. She married Feb. 24, 1914, Robert Russell, who was born Oct. 24, 1889. They live at Buchanan, Mich., Mr. Russell being a draftsman for the Studebaker Motor Co., They have four children:

HELEN A. PRESTON, 2nd. child of Judge S. and Caroline A. (Bartlett) Preston, was born Jan. 10, 1862, and died May 29, 1916. She married Feb. 11, 1897, Daniel H. Brooks, who was born Nov. 15, 1862 [and died July 22 at Brown City, Mich.] Mr. Brooks is a farmer and lives at Brown City, Mich. They had three children:

CHARLES E. PRESTON, 3rd. child of Judge S. and Caroline A. (Bartlett) Preston, was born July 16, 1866, and, died Jan. 13, 1893, in a Hotel fire at Duluth, Minn. He married Sep. 38, 1892, Edith M. Born, of Tekonsha, Mich. They made their home at Marquette, Mich., where Mr. Preston was a telegraph operator. They had no children. Mrs. Preston was liviing at Albion, Mich., [in 1896] several years.
