ANDREW KNIFFEN, 7th. child of Daniel and Emily (Preston)
Kniffen, was born Aug. 24, 1843. He married Sep 26, 1867,
Asenath Brainerd who was born April 1, 1846.
They lived on the Kniffen Homestead, near Macomb Village.
Mr. and Mrs. Kniffen were members of the M. E. Church.
Their children were:
1. Carrie Kniffen.
2. Lula Kniffen.

ADILBERT KNIFFEN, 9th. child of Daniel and Emily (Preston)
Kniffen, was born Sep.20, 1850. He married April 13, 1870,
Elizabeth E. Thompson, who was born July 12, 1850, in Stirling,
Macomb Co., Mich. Mr. Kniffen is a Republican and member of
the K. 0. T. M. Their only child was:
1. Bertrand J. Kniffen.

GEORGE WASHINGTON PRESTON, 2nd child of Ira and Deborah
(Goff) Preston, was born May 7, 1815, in Rush, Monroe Co.,
N. Y., and died July 24, 1885. He married Oct. 8, 1837,
Sally Goff, who came to Michigan in 1828, or one year after
the Preston family. For ten years after their marriage they
lived on Section 12, Shelby Twp., Macomb Co., Mich., on the
farm afterwards owned by Riley Sedgwick Preston. The children
of this couple were:
1. Marion Preston, b. Aug. 1, 1840. (163,821)

Marion PRESTON, oldest child of George W. and Sally (Goff)
Preston, was born Aug. 1, 1840, in Shelby Tip., Macomb Co.,
Mich., and died Nov. 27, 1862. She married July 4, 1860,
Horace Whitney, who was born July 10, 1836. She left two
children:
1. Herbert A. Witney.
2. Minnie E. Witney.

FLORA A PRESTON, 2nd. child of George W. and Sally (Goff)
Preston, was born Jan. 25, 1850, in Shelby Twp. She married
May 2, 1871, Martin C. Keeler. They were both school teacher.
and followed this profession both before and after marriage.
Mrs. Keeler rose from district school to Principa1 of the
Grant Street School of Mt. Clemens, Mich. After Mr. Keeler's
death she married (2nd) a Mr. High, of Mt. Clemens. They both
died about 1925. The only child of Martin and Flora was:
1. Louis Keeler, b. Aug. 18, 1877. He graduated from Mt.
Clemens High School with high honors, and is also a
graduate of the University of Michigan.
