There are several birth years to be found for Samuel Sedgwick. The biography of one of his sons-in-law gives 1813, the newspaper report of his death calculates to 1808, and the cemetery record shows 1809. I have used the cemetery record. Still, I accept the report that he was born at Meadow Run. Meadow Run is a stream about ten miles south of Rices Landing. It joins with Bealls Run just west of Davistown in Dunkard Township
