It may be desirable in studying the descendants of Jonathan Sedgwick to first compare the information that had previously been complied, thus:

Francis Morris Sedgwick: 1934 Manuscript
Hubert Merrill Sedgwick: NHCHS MSS-B46 Box 6 Folder E sheet 4
NHCHS MSS-B46 Box 9 Folder I sheet 6

It is likely that Elizabeth Cheadel was the daughter of one Dr Elijah Cheadle/Cheadle, resident of Montgomery County, New York and a Revolutionary War Pensioner.

Ancestry.com: New York Pensioners, 1835
Elijah Cheadle, Private & corporal, Montgomery Co., $48.00/year, Connecticut militia
placed on the pension roll May 6, 1833, commencement of pension March 4, 1831
This Elijah Cheadle was apparently born May 17, 1762 at Ashford, Windham, Connecticut, died September 23, 1849, son of Benjamin Cheadle (b. August 30, 1738) and Sarah Greenslet (b. abt 1738, Ashford, Windham, Connecticut), who married March 19, 1793 Johnstown, Montgomery, New York, Presbyterian Church, Anne Wilson (b. 1773). They had a son named Elijah Cheadle b. 1802, Kingsborough, Montgomery, New York. In the earlier records of the Church, the name is spelled "Cheadle" then later "Cheadel."

The name Cheadel was passed as a middle name through several generations, spelled "Chedell" by some of the descendants and "Chadell" by others.

Acording to the Records of the First Church of Amsterdam, Montgomery, New York, "Katy Bovee now Mrs Sedgwick" was a member on January 1, 1833 and "dismissed to the Village May 6th 1834"9  Where is this "Village?" I'd like to find their marriage record and the baptismal records of the two youngest daughters.

In 1850 the age of Ann Maria is given as 26, suggesting that she was born about 1824, but she was baptized in 1819.

Hubert says that Elijah and Arthur were twins, but their baptisms were in different years. It is likely that they were born on or about the same day two years apart, so some thought they were twins.
