Hubert Merrill Sedgwick wrote this about Chauncy Sedgwick: Chauncy Sedgwick (3132)
His information came primarily from Stiles' "History of Ancient Windsor," which did not document the Sedgwick family, but documented some of Chauncy's daughters with the families of the men they married.

Census records show that Chauncy and Waitestill had two sons and four daughters. Add one child that Hubert recorded "died Mar. 18, 1819 aged 4 months," and it is likely that they had a total of seven children. Catherine must have been born before the 1810 census, and the missing daughter must have been born before her.

There is a birth record for an Elvira Sedgwick on January 7, 1797. However, that name never shows up again, and the woman named Eliza who married John Willey was apparently born in 1797.2 I'm pretty sure that Elvira and Eliza are the same person; would love to see the original of that record.
